Buying a Tesla at auction: calculate the finished car

The hammer price is the beginning of the calculation, not the bargain.

Guide12 min

A disciplined auction purchase starts with the VIN, title category, region, option configuration, battery state and quality of available evidence. Photos can hide suspension, cooling and high-voltage damage.

The complete budget includes auction fees, inland transport, export, shipping, taxes, homologation, parts, calibration, labour and contingency. Regional compatibility must be priced before bidding.

TLUX sets a maximum bid from the estimated finished value and an explicit risk reserve. Walking away is a successful outcome when the numbers stop working.
